For startup founders, I recommend reading this book every 6 months for the first two years of the startup, then every 6 months for the next 5 years. Lots of insight into the different stages of development and you always get a fresh perspective.

For investors, often your portfolio companies are at different stages, so they often turn the page and see what they can or can find around the corner.

Here’s my favorite quote: “Without trust, communication breaks down. In other words: the amount of communication required in any human interaction is inversely proportional to the level of trust.”

The writing style is conversational and straightforward, making this book a quick read. This is great insight into what to look for in a large angel investor, especially when it comes to a portfolio of partnerships and/or deal flow. In particular, there are good frameworks and systems for determining a good investment approach and thesis methodology.
