At 930 square feet, Shoreline Cottage is small but big. The inspiration for this plan came from a city family’s desire for a simple house on the coast that would offer peaceful views from all sides. A clapboard and clapboard exterior, gabled roof and spacious porch set a traditional tone, while tall windows and an open interior give the home a modern flair. The main floor has an open living room, kitchen and dining room. Built-in window seats on two walls in the open living area provide hidden storage and comfortable places to curl up with a book. Two bedrooms and a bathroom complete the main level, while an upstairs sleeping loft (accessed by a staircase) provides additional accommodation or storage.

This very small building – at 376 square meters – can be equipped as a haven for small cabins or as an attractive storage for boats. Like a spa-style cottage, the space offers cozy comfort for homeowners and visiting guests. Windows on every wall let in natural light and make a small space feel larger. This adorable 1,120 square foot cottage has two covered porches: an outdoor gathering space that welcomes guests in the front and a small screened porch in the back. Inside, the front door opens into a spacious family room, which leads to a kitchenette (with access to a covered terrace). Off the family room is a hallway leading to the bathroom and two bedrooms. The master bedroom has an adjoining bathroom and walk-in closet.

The heart of this villa is the galley-style kitchen and comfortable dining room, which have been carefully designed as an integrated space. Windows allow natural light to fill the room and offer views at every turn. The deep front porch and the covered porch at the back of the house make the outdoor spaces a natural extension of the house. The second floor offers two spacious bedrooms and a fully equipped bathroom.
