This traditional two-story red brick home has beautiful architectural lines – it just needed updated accents to modernize and beautify it. Benjamin Moore Paints provided a fresh palette: Revere Pewter on the trim, Dragon’s Breath on the wood trim, and black on the windows. Dark roof paint, new wood garage door and copper gutters were the finishing touches.

New Shingle Style Ranch House Plan Is Charming And Welcoming

This red brick ranch style is a classic of American neighborhoods built after World War II. Modernizing your front porch with new materials has had the biggest impact moving into the 21st century. Our designer also recommended removing the blinds (as they were not the right size) and updating the windows and front door. Wooden details and copper recesses are combined with Urbane Bronze by Sherwin Williams to lower contrast in the decorative tones, making the curb appeal less obvious.

This traditional two-storey house has a second-storey overhang and has a Tudor-influenced exterior that looks a bit dated and unfinished. We recommend Benjamin Moore’s new Hardie® Graphite Vertical Panels for a color-blocked look. Revere Pewter on the trim accentuates the roofline. A new porch and elevated walkway above the front door lead views to the front door.

A few simple updates brought new life to this beautiful two-story traditional home. The siding and trim were painted in Kendall Charcoal by Benjamin Moore, while onyx-colored windows, gutters, new double doors and metal awnings contrast with the natural red brick. The roof is a darker color than the original, tying everything together.

Another beautiful traditional home renovated with simple updates. New modern black lattice windows and a pair of awnings add a modern touch. The wooden gables and handsome double front doors are then harmonized with copper gutters, emphasizing the layered feel of the house. Finally, a bluestone path and new front steps bring things down to earth.

Outdoor Updates To Get Ready For Spring

This modern home features dark red brick that pairs perfectly with wood paneling. We recommend the Woodtone woodgrain composite siding option under the front gable. Black and charcoal gray appear on the new roof, modern garage door, exterior lighting and trim, crafted in onyx by Benjamin Moore. Finally, we recommend James Hardie’s new standard vertical siding on the upper level, painted Benjamin Moore’s Rockport Gray.

This beautiful historic red brick home has been renovated with some intentional updates. First we recommended new Marvin windows and new steel double doors. Other black accents include an X-shaped porch railing between existing brick columns and Bahamian-style shutters above a row of windows to the left of the entry. Bevolo’s classic copper lamp pays homage to the past. Finally, Tivertino panels modernize the front door frames up to the roofline.

The bright red brick of this traditional mid-century ranch seems to contrast beautifully with the clean white. Beyond that, there’s plenty of variation with the dark shingle siding, navy blue front door, and old gray shingle roof. You need to make the bricks pop by toning down the color palette. The new metal roof is an understated warm brown that highlights the copper gutters and exterior lighting, plus a beautiful new wood front door. We added a roof over the garage for interest. The trim, gutters, baseboards and new garage door are all finished in light oak designed by Benjamin Moore. New Hardie® single siding painted in Rockport Gray brightens up the front porch.

Jll Design: Ranch Renovation

The new exterior design of this two-story home moves into more contemporary design territory. The red brick makes this facade stand out even more as it is the main cladding of the upper floors. We recommend replacing the old siding with Hardie® Panel vertical siding and painting it and the fireplace with Benjamin Moore Graphite. The trim and canopies are finished in Sherwin Williams Tricorn Black, which matches perfectly with the black light range, garage door, windows and new chimney cap. Timber and copper elements introduce a natural element and accentuate the warmth of the bricks.

As you can see, many traditional red brick homes were originally paired with bright white trim and trim – we’d rather tone that palette down a notch. For this home, we recommended Benjamin Moore’s Kendall Charcoal for the siding and Light Oak for the siding. The entryway has been significantly updated with beautiful new wood double doors, beautiful cornice and canopy, dramatic sconces, and a cool stone and tile walkway leading up.

We renovated this large traditional red brick home with a modern exterior design: new garage doors, updated lighting, and a new front porch canopy. We came up with the idea of ​​using new James Hardy paneling around the middle row of two-story windows to accentuate it, painting it in Benjamin Moore’s “Winter Wood.” Onyx edges provide contrast. Warm stone veneer anchors the house, and we also used it to cover the fireplace to add interest.

We love lime. This is a good compromise between painting the bricks and keeping it natural. The red bricks in the lower half of the house are made from Romabio limestone stained with Benjamin Moore’s Sea Pearls. Limewash gives you the flexibility to let some of the brick’s natural color show through, as mentioned above. It even works great on brick roads! Here we paired the limewash with the full Benjamin Moore palette: Sea Pearl again on the trim, Pure White on the trim, Sea Mist on the shutters, and Black on the new front door.
